Cinnamon roll Dutch apple pie uses 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing. Pull apart the dough into eight individual rolls. Open the container of icing, and spoon contents into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover the bowl, and chill icing in refrigerator. In a medium bowl, combine 1/4 cup each flour and brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 2 tablespoons cold butter.
Stir in 1/4 cup chopped pecans, and set bowl aside. Put 1 cinnamon roll in the center of an ungreased 9-inch pie plate, and use fingers to pat it down and stretch it wider. Arrange remaining cinnamon rolls around the center roll, covering the entire pan. Press dough seams together to seal and bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread the top of the rolls with 1 can apple pie filling, and then sprinkle reserved cinnamon mixture on top. Cover edges of crust with foil, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool for one hour, microwave icing for 10 to 15 seconds on high, and drizzle over top of pie. To make apple fruit turnovers soften 1 box of refrigerated pie crusts, unroll crusts, and cut each crust into six wedges. In a bowl, combine 1 cup apple pie filling and 1/4 cup chopped roasted pecans. Spoon filling into center of six wedges, top with remaining wedges, and seal with a fork.
