A good appetizer to make using Philadelphia cream cheese is a Buffalo chicken dip, featured on KraftRecipes.com. For a complete meal, AllRecipes.com offers a recipe for quick pasta carbonara that uses the product.
To create the Buffalo chicken dip, gather 2 cups of shredded cooked chicken, one 8-ounce package Philadelphia Cream Cheese, 1/2 cup of ranch dressing, 1/2 cup of hot sauce and 1/2 cup of blue cheese crumbles. Combine all of these ingredients into an oven-safe dish, and bake them in an oven set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes or until it is heated thoroughly. Add chopped green onions after the dish cooks.
For the quick pasta carbonara, gather 1/2 pound of medium pasta, four chopped slices of bacon, 4 ounces of Philadelphia cream cheese in cubes and 1 cup of frozen peas. Also gather 3/4 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
Boil the pasta, and cook the bacon, leaving some of the fat from the meat behind. Add all of the ingredients except the pasta to the pan that the bacon cooked in. Cook this mixture on low until the cream cheese melts. Drain the pasta, and place it into a serving bowl. Mix the cream cheese mixture into it before serving.
