Lipton offers a number of recipes for oven-roasted potatoes with Lipton soup mix, including a crisp roasted-potato recipe with thyme and marjoram and an easy three-ingredient recipe. To prepare either recipe, first set the oven to 450 F to preheat.
For crisp onion-roasted potatoes, cut 2 pounds of all-purpose potatoes into quarters. Add 1/2 cup of olive or vegetable oil and 1/4 cup of melted margarine to a shallow baking pan. Stir in 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme, 1 teaspoon of marjoram leaves, 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper and 1 envelope of Lipton Recipe Secrets onion mushroom soup mix. Toss the potatoes in the mixture to evenly coat.
Bake the potatoes in the oven until the potatoes are soft and golden, approximately 60 minutes. Turn the potatoes occasionally during baking to avoid burning. Garnish the potatoes with chopped fresh parsley.
To make easy onion roasted potatoes, cut 2 pounds of all-purpose or baking potatoes into large cubes. Combine 1/3 cup of mayonnaise and 1 envelope of Lipton Recipe Secrets onion soup mix. Mix the potatoes and seasoned mayonnaise together on a baking sheet. Roast the potatoes in the oven until they are soft and golden, approximately 30 minutes. Stir the potatoes throughout baking. Top the roasted potatoes with chopped fresh parsley.
