An easy method of steaming clams is featured on the All Recipes website. This method requires slowly steaming the clams in a pan with a mix of butter, garlic and wine.
To steam clams, first melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a saucepan, and stir in 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. Cook the garlic until it is light brown, then place the clams in. Use only enough clams to fill the bottom of the pan. Stir the clams to coat them in garlic then mix in one-fourth of a cup of white wine.
