A good and very easy juicing recipe for beginners calls for combining a few carrots, 1 apple, 1 lemon and 1 small piece of ginger into your juicer. Recipes with simple ingredients and some sweet fruits and vegetables are often good and quite palatable choices for beginning juicers.
To make a healthy and great tasting juice, use 6 to 8 large kale leaves (with the stems), 1/2 large cucumber, 1/2 of a bunch of parsley (or cilantro), 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup of fresh pineapple (no skin) and 1 large yellow or green whole apple. The sweetness of the pineapple and apple helps to mask any bitterness from the kale and cucumber.
For an alternate recipe, use 1 large whole spinach bunch (about 6 cups), 2 yellow delicious apples, 1-2 lemons (unpeeled), 2 oranges, 1 chunk of ginger and 6 to 8 stems of fresh mint stems. This recipe makes about 5 to 6 cups and is very high in vitamin C.
A popular lunch recipe calls for 1 large Italian cucumber, 1 unpeeled lime, 2 medium tomatoes, 2 cups of whole spinach, and a handful of cilantro or parsley. If desired, add 1 clove of garlic and 1 inch of ginger.
