For a good Hidden Valley Ranch recipe using pork chops, try the original recipe from the company using ranch seasoning, pork chops and spices. Bake the seasoned pork chops in the oven for 20 minutes and serve them immediately after they are removed from the oven.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a small bowl, combine a 1-ounce package of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix and a dash each of salt, pepper and paprika. Sprinkle this mixture over the pork chops until they are well covered on both sides. Place the pork chops in a baking pan or on a rack and bake them for 20 minutes. Turn them once during the baking process to be sure they are evenly cooked and well browned on both sides.
Another recipe has the cook browning the pork chops in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. After browning, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 of a package of Hidden Valley seasoning mix and 3/4 cup of milk are added to the skillet. The mixture is brought to a boil and then the heat is reduced to low. The pork chops are simmered for 10 minutes or until fully cooked.
Combine 2 1/4 cups of water and the remaining half of the ranch seasoning packet in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add 1 cup of uncooked white rice and reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the liquid. Serve with the pork chops.
