A good ginger beef recipe is Asian Ginger Beef on MyRecipes, which calls for vegetable mix, flank steak, onions, red bell peppers and ginger. Another good recipe, Crispy Ginger Beef, uses a cornstarch and egg mixture in which to dredge the beef for a crispy finish.
Make Asian Ginger Beef by seasoning 1 pound of thinly sliced flank steak with salt and pepper to taste and sautéing it with 1/2 medium thinly sliced onion and 1/2 medium thinly sliced red bell pepper in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. After two minutes, stir in 1 chopped garlic clove and 2 tablespoons of grated fresh ginger for another two minutes. Add 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 teaspoons of dark sesame oil and 1/4 cup of beef broth. After bringing the mixture to a boil, cook it for two minutes, and add a 12-ounce bag of cooked frozen Asian vegetables.
While the mixture cooks, whisk together 2 teaspoons of cornstarch and 2 teaspoons of water, and drizzle it into the beef mixture. Once the mixture thickens, serve it over rice.
For a crispy beef mixture, whisk together 3/4 cup of cornstarch and 1/2 cup of water, and stir in 2 eggs. Dredge 1 pound of flank steak cut into thin strips in the mixture, and fry it in hot oil for three minutes.
