Kellogg's Crispix Mix original recipe uses ingredients such as butter, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. The recipe takes a total of 55 minutes to make and yields 18 servings.
To make the recipe, combine 7 cups of Kellogg's Crispix cereal, 1 cup of mixed nuts and 1 cup of pretzels in a 13-by-9-by-2-inch baking pan, and set it aside. In a bowl, stir together 3 tablespoons of melted butter or margarine, 4 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt and 1/4 teaspoon of onion salt. Drizzle the mixture over the cereal mixture, and stir until it's evenly coated. Bake it at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes, stirring it every 15 minutes. Spread it out on paper towels, and let it cool completely.
To make the snack mix in the microwave, combine the cereal, nuts and pretzels in a microwavable bowl, and follow the same steps with the remaining ingredients. Microwave it on high for four minutes, stirring it after two minutes. Spread it on paper towels, and let it cool.
Kellogg's Crispix Mix original recipe with Cheez-It original snack crackers follows the same steps, but replaces the nuts and pretzels with Sunshine Cheez-It crackers.
