Irish coffee and caramel macchiato are some good coffee recipes. The first recipe makes 1 serving and is from AllRecipes. The second recipe is from Folgers and also makes 1 serving.
For the Irish coffee recipe, combine 1 1/2 ounces of Irish cream liqueur and 1 1/2 ounce of Irish whiskey in a coffee mug. Fill the mug with hot brewed coffee, and then top with 1 tablespoon of whipped cream. Lastly, sprinkle 1 dash of ground nutmeg on top and serve.
For the caramel macchiato recipe, pour 1/2 cup of milk into a 1 quart microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for about 60 to 90 seconds. The milk should be hot but not boiling. Beat the hot milk with an electric mixer, increasing the speed as the milk begins to thicken. Continue beating until the foam doubles.
Pour 3 to 4 tablespoons of vanilla-flavored syrup into a standard-sized coffee mug. Microwave the syrup on high for 20 seconds to warm it up. Next, stir it into the hot coffee. Add a 1/4 cup of steamed milk, and then spoon on foamed milk to the brim of the cup. Drizzle caramel sundae syrup on the top in a criss-cross pattern and serve immediately.
