Campbell's Kitchen has a good basic beef and noodles recipe that serves four people and takes about 35 minutes of preparation. Ingredients include 3/4 pound of boneless beef top round steak, black pepper, a 10.5-ounce can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 3/4 cups of beef broth and 1 large sliced onion. Four ounces of egg noodles, 1/2 cup of plain yogurt and 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley are other ingredients in the recipe.
To make beef and noodles, cut the steak into very thin strips and season with pepper. Brown the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. When the beef is cooked, remove it from the skillet, and drain the fat from the pan. Place the onion, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth and 1/2 cup of water into the skillet, and stir well. Bring the mixture to a boil.
When the soup mixture is boiling, stir in the noodles, and reduce the heat to simmer. Cook and stir until the noodles are tender, which usually takes around 10 minutes. Add the yogurt and the browned beef to the skillet, and stir well. Heat the beef and noodles until the mixture is hot and bubbly. Garnish with fresh parsley prior to serving.
