One good recipe from Barilla is its three-layer lasagna. Lasagna pasta pieces are layered with meat, ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and marinara sauce.
To make three-layer lasagna, cook 1/2 box of Barilla lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Cook and drain 1 pound of ground beef or Italian sausage. Drain the fat from the meat, and then place it into a saucepan with 1 1/2 jars of Barilla marinara sauce. Simmer the meat and sauce for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, combine 3 1/2 cups of Mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, one 15-ounce container of ricotta cheese and 2 lightly beaten eggs.
Use 3/4 cup of marinara sauce from the 1/2 jar that remains to coat the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Place 3 to 4 overlapping noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the cheese mixture and half of the meat sauce. Repeat the layers, covering the last layer with the remaining noodles and sauce. Sprinkle the rest of the Mozzarella cheese over the top, and then cover the dish with foil and bake it for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake the lasagna for another 10 minutes.
