The oven-roasted turkey breast from Betty Crocker takes about 15 minutes to prepare and three hours to cook. It uses a 4 1/2- to 5-pound bone-in whole turkey breast and serves eight people.
To make the oven-roasted turkey breast, preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, and place the turkey into a shallow roasting pan with the skin-side up. Roast the uncovered turkey for one hour. Next, combine 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1/4 cup of dry white wine or apple juice, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of paprika and 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic into a bowl, and mix thoroughly. Brush half of the butter mixture over the turkey, and cook for another 30 minutes. Use the remaining butter mixture to brush the turkey again, and cook until the turkey has an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the turkey to stand for at least 15 minutes prior to serving.
Pour the drippings left in the roasting pan into a measuring cup, while skimming the leftover fat, and add enough water to measure out 2 cups of liquid. Bring the liquid to a boil in a saucepan, and stir in 2 teaspoons of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of cold water. Heat to a boil for one minute, and serve with the turkey.
