Barbecue bacon chicken bake and cheddar bacon chicken tenders are good bacon and cheddar recipes. The first recipe is from All Recipes and the second is from Betty Crocker.
To make the barbeque bacon chicken bake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and spray a 13-by-9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Cook 8 slices of bacon in a skillet over medium heat for about five minutes. Drain the bacon on paper towels. Wrap 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves with 2 slices of bacon each, placing the bacon in an X-shaped pattern. Place the chicken on the baking sheet with the bacon ends underneath. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Spread 3/4 cup of barbecue sauce on the chicken. Bake until an instant-read meat thermometer reads 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
To make the cheddar bacon chicken tenders, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray. In a shallow bowl, beat 1 egg. In a large resealable plastic bag, place 1/2 cup of crispy bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of finely shredded cheddar cheese and 3 ounces of bacon bits. Individually dip 14 ounces of chicken tenders in the egg, and placethem in the bread mixture. Seal the bag, shaking it to coat, and then place the chicken on the cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, turning the chicken once. Serve with a chive and onion sour cream potato topper.
