Some good Almased shake and smoothie recipes include the chocoshake, monkey smoothie and Almased pumpkin shake. To make the chocoshake, combine 8 tablespoons of Almased with 6 1/2 ounces of low-fat milk, 1 tablespoon of nonfat plain yogurt, 1/2 teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder and 1/2 cup of cold coffee in a blender.
To make a monkey smoothie, blend together 8 tablespoons of Almased, 4 ounces of unsweetened almond milk and 4 ounces of water, and then add in 1/2 banana, 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1 cup of ice.
For a taste of autumn, mix up a pumpkin shake by combining 8 tablespoons of Almased, 10 ounces of low-fat milk or almond milk and 1 cup of ice in a blender. Season the shake with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree and 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice before serving.
Make an orange dreamsicle-flavored shake by mixing together 8 tablespoons of Almased with 4 ounces each of carrot juice and orange juice, 2 ounces of heavy cream and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Blend in 1/2 cup of ice until it is finely crushed before serving the shake in a chilled glass.
