In addition to beer, wine, liquor and mixers, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits carries a selection of barware and wine accessories. As of November 2015, ABC also sells the sixth edition of "The Bartender's Black Book" by Stephen Kittredge Cunningham.
The barware selection at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits includes items such as stainless steel martini picks, measuring tools, wine glasses and other glassware, and empty growler bottles decorated with Florida college team logos. The store also sells a variety of wine accessories, such as the Winecountry Corkscrew, the Bordeaux Vino Magic Wine Aerator, the Rabbit V Gauge Wine Preserver and the Cork Pop Wine Opener. While the selection of general merchandise varies by location, ABC also sells these items on its website, abcfws.com. In addition, some ABC locations feature cigar humidors, and many stock gourmet cheeses, snacks and candies.
ABC Fine Wine & Spirits began as Jack's Friendly Neighborhood Bar in Orlando, Florida, in 1936, shortly after the end of Prohibition. The company became ABC Liquors in 1950. According to legend, founder Jack Holloway chose the new name to ensure it would show up first in phone listings, and to make it easy for customers to remember. The chain eventually spread throughout Florida, rebranding itself as ABC Fine Wine & Spirits in the early 1990s.
