Three fun recipes made with Jello Cool Whip are Dirt Cups, Cool and Creamy (also known as Poke Cake), and Lemonade Pie. Serve Dirt Cake at occasions where children gather, and allow kids to help make Poke Cake. Lemonade Pie proves a refreshing dessert for all ages.
To prepare Dirt Cups, finely crush 15 Oreo cookies, and divide into two portions. Beat one small package of chocolate pudding and 2 cups of cold milk with a whisk for two minutes. Allow the mixture to stand for five minutes before stirring in an 8-ounce container of thawed Cool Whip and 1/2 of the crushed cookies. Spoon the mixture into 10 plastic cups, 6-7 ounces in size. Cover with the remaining cookie crumbs, and refrigerate for one hour. Top with gummy worm candies.
To make a Poke Cake, bake a white cake mix according to the directions for a 10 by 13-inch pan. When the cake is cool, poke holes in the top with a straw. Combine any flavor of gelatin with 1 cup of hot water and 1 cup of cold water. Pour the liquid gelatin mixture over the cake. Frost the cake with Cool Whip, and chill before serving this festive and colorful cake.
To make the Lemonade Pie, dissolve 1/3 cup lemonade mix in 1/4 cup water. Blend in a 14-ounce can of condensed milk, and fold in an 8-ounce container of Cool Whip. Spoon the mixture into a prepared graham cracker crust, and freeze for six hours.
