The basic Jell-O jigglers recipe yields approximately 24 one-serving jiggler pieces, depending on the cutouts used. Jell-O jigglers can also be made with natural ingredients and with alcohol.
For the basic Jell-O jigglers recipe, heat 2 1/2 cups of water to boiling. Place 2 packages of the eight-serving Jell-O gelatin in a large bowl. Pour the boiling water over the gelatin powder while stirring.
Pour the gelatin mix into a 13-inch by 9-inch pan, and place in the refrigerator. Let the Jell-O refrigerate for three hours or until firm. Place the bottom of the pan in warm water for 15 seconds. Use cookie cutters to cut the Jell-O into decorative shapes, and lift from the pan.
For natural jigglers, pour 2 cups grape or apple juice into a bowl. Sprinkle 1 ounce of unflavored gelatin and 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon grass-fed gelatin over top. Let sit for 10 minutes. Heat 1 cup of the juice and 2 cups water to a simmer. Pour the hot liquid into the gelatin mixture, stirring to combine. The remaining steps are the same as above.
For alcohol-based jigglers, whisk 12 ounces of Jell-O powder into 1 1/4 cups boiling water. Add 1 1/4 cups of vodka or another alcohol. Mix thoroughly, and pour into a pan. Alternatively, divide the liquid into molds sprayed with cooking spray.
