Betty Crocker's fruit salad recipe uses vanilla-flavored Jell-O pudding. The easy, no-cook recipe is intended for use with pre-made pudding cups, but is adaptable for use with pudding made at home.
If preparing Jell-O pudding from a mix rather than purchasing pudding cups, prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package directions. Refrigerate the pudding until chilled and set. If using pudding cups, refrigerate until chilled.
Cut 1 cup of seedless grapes into halves. Drain an 11 ounce can of mandarin orange segments and discard the juice. Drain an 8 ounce can of pineapple tidbits and discard the juice. Slice 1 cup of fresh strawberries. Set the prepared fruit aside.
Add one 4-ounce pudding cup or 1/2 cup of prepared pudding to a medium mixing bowl. Mix with 1/2 cup of whipped topping and stir until combined. Flavored whipped topping may be used if desired; Betty Crocker recommends strawberry. Add the halved grapes and drained oranges and pineapple, then add 1 cup of miniature marshmallows. Stir gently to combine.
Add the sliced strawberries and toss gently until they are coated in the pudding and whipped topping mixture. This fruit salad can be served immediately or stored in the refrigerator. If refrigerated, it keeps for up to 8 hours.
