French roast K-Cups are available through a variety of retailers and manufacturers. As the popularity of one-cup brewing systems increased, many name-brand coffee makers started producing K-Cups.
K-Cups were originally introduced by Keurig Green Mountain in 1990. After the expiration of the patent in 2012, many coffee manufacturers started making the small pods for single-serve coffee makers. In an attempt to regain the K-Cup market, Keurig introduced its 2.0 version of the brewing system in late 2014. The Keurig 2.0 uses a different type of K-Cup, but it still offers a variety of coffee and other hot drinks, including French roast.
