Some of Spain's more famous traditional dishes are paella, tortilla Espanola, gazpacho, gambas ajillo, aioli, sheep, cheese and chorizo. Other foods found in a Spaniard's diet are fish, pork, lamb, shellfish and wine.
Paella is a rice dish that contains different types of seafood, chicken, saffron, peas and sweet peppers. Tapas, which may be served in bars, are small snacks that often include chorizo (sausages), olives, gambas ajillos (prawns in a garlic sauce) and other small-sized foods.
There are many other foods that Spaniards eat, such as flan, churros, mushroom tartlets and marinated olives. Spaniards also have dishes in which offal is the main ingredient. For example, morcillas (blood sausages) and tripe are popular in Spain.
