Some foods without a large amount of protein include vegetables such as dried beans and other vegetable products and fruits, either fresh, frozen or dried. Some starches are also low in protein including cereals, rice, breads and pasta.
Canned fruits and vegetables contain low protein amounts as does fruit juice. Sweets that contain very little protein include hard candy, gummy bears, jelly beans, marshmallows and popsicles. Sugar and honey also contain low protein as do jams, jellies and marmalades. Beverages with little or no protein include coffee, tea and soft drinks. Special low-protein products are available such as Suplena, low-protein cheese sauce mix and low-protein crackers.
