To make chili burgers with buttered corn on the cob, mix 1 pound of ground beef with 1 1/2 teaspoons of chili powder, and shape the mixture into 4 burger patties. Fry, broil or grill the meat until it's thoroughly cooked. Pour 1 can of chili with beans into a small saucepan, boil it, and continue simmering it for 5 more minutes. Cut 4 hamburger buns into halves, toast them, and place some chili, shredded cheddar cheese and French fried onions on top of the buns. Put meat patties on top, and cover them up with bun tops. Cook some corn on the cob, butter it, and serve together with burgers.
To make pepper steak with potatoes, cook 5 medium red potatoes until they are tender. Place 1 pound of thinly sliced boneless beef sirloin steak, 1 minced garlic clove and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a large skillet, cook everything until the beef is no longer pink, and take the meat out of the skillet. Place 1 sliced green pepper and 1 chopped onion into the skillet, and cook them until they are crisp-tender. Place the meat back into the pan, add cooked potatoes and some pepper, and cook the mixture for a couple of minutes.
