Prepare the egg custard by beating together 2 eggs, 2 egg yolks, 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Simmer 2 cups of milk in a saucepan. Mix the whisked eggs into the warm milk. Strain the custard into ramekins, and place the ramekins in a deep baking dish. Fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up to the ramekins, and bake the dish at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 35 minutes. Insert a knife into the custard.
