An easy cranberry sauce recipe from Betty Crocker calls for only three ingredients: cranberries, water and sugar. Begin by rinsing 1 pound of fresh, or 4 cups of frozen, cranberries. Rinse with cool water, and pick out stems and bruised cranberries.
In a 3-quart pot, bring 2 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar to a boil using medium heat. Stir the mixture periodically while the mixture boils for a full five minutes. Add the cranberries and stir. Boil the cranberries about five minutes, stirring a few times. Pour the cranberry sauce into a container, and refrigerate it for at least three hours.
