Some easy veggie burgers include vegan black bean burgers and vegan tofu veggie burgers. While both recipes are easy, the vegan tofu veggie burgers require less effort.
Black bean veggie burgers are best for indoor cooking rather than grilling. To make them, dice up 1/2 an onion, and saut? it for approximately five minutes or until it softens. In a large bowl, mash 1 can of completely drained black beans until they are soft. Add the saut?ed onions, and then season the mixture with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir in 1/2 cup of flour and 2 crumbled slices of bread. Form the mixture into patties, and fry them in oil until firm.
To make vegan tofu veggie burgers, mash 1/2 of a container of firm or extra firm tofu in a large bowl. Dice and add 1 onion and 3 green onions. Add 2 tablespoons of wheat germ, 2 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of garlic powder, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and black pepper to taste. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, and then form them into patties. Fry the patties in oil for approximately 10 minutes or until the patties are brown and crisp.
