An easy sweet and sour pork recipe calls for 1 pound of boneless, cubed pork loin, 1 beaten egg, 3/4 cup original Bisquick mix, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. In addition, this recipe needs 1/2 cup vegetable oil and an 8-ounce can of pineapple chunks.
To round out this recipe, an 11-ounce jar of sweet and sour sauce is recommended and 1 1/2 cups bell peppers and onions. To begin, toss together the pork and egg in a medium bowl. In a large Ziplock bag, combine the salt, pepper and Bisquick mix, sealing the bag and mixing completely. Drain the egg from the cubed pork, and then dump the pork into the Ziplock bag. Shake the bag to completely season the pork.
Pour some oil over medium heat in a 12-inch skillet, and dump the pork onto the bottom. Cook the pork for about eight minutes, turning the meat so it browns and the inside is no longer pink. Then remove the pork, but keep it warm.
Discard excess oil from the pan so that only 1 tablespoon remains, and then stir in the pineapple, onions and peppers. Cook these for about three minutes, or until they are tender-crisp. Then, add the sweet and sour sauce and pork. Bring this to a boil and then serve.
