Easy casserole recipes include an egg and sausage baked casserole and a hearty potato sausage casserole. Each recipe requires eight ingredients or fewer and approximately 15 to 20 minutes of preparation time. Bake either casserole in an oven that's been preheated to 350 degrees.
To make the sausage and egg casserole, brown 1 pound of sausage and add it to a mixture of eight beaten eggs combined with 3 cups of milk, 8 cups of bread cubes and 2 cups of shredded cheese. Mix everything together, pour it into a greased baking dish and bake for approximately 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
To make the sausage and potato casserole, brown 1 pound of sausage and combine it with 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup of chopped onion and salt and pepper to taste. Place 1 1/2 cups of sliced and peeled potatoes in a greased baking dish and top it with half of the sausage and soup mixture. Add another 1 1/2 cups of sliced potatoes and cover it with the rest of the sausage mixture. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake it for approximately 60 minutes. Remove the cover, sprinkle the top with 2 cups of shredded cheese and bake it for another 3 minutes to melt the cheese.
