There are a variety of recipes that only require four ingredients, ranging from blueberry pancakes to beef stir fry. Many of the recipes can be made in 20 minutes or less.
This blueberry pancake recipe serves four people. The recipe requires 1 cup of self-rising flour, 1 cup of milk, 1 egg and 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries. Combine the flour, milk and egg into a bowl and stir well. Add the blueberries into the bowl with the other ingredients and mix well. Oil a non-stick frying pan and heat it over a stove set to medium-low. Cook the pancakes in 1/4-cup portions and serve.
The beef stir fry recipe serves four people and requires 2/3 cup of barbecued stir fry sauce, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, 4 to 6 shallots and 500 grams of stir fry beef. Mix the stir fry sauce and beef together, and allow it to stand for 15 minutes. Heat oil in a frying pan, and cook batches of the beef until it's cooked on the outside and medium on the inside. Trim and cut the shallots into thin lengthwise strips, and then stir fry them. Place the shallots on top of the beef stir fry.
