For the sweet variation, gather 1/4 cup of white sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt, 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 2 1/2 cups of whole almonds, 1 tablespoon of water, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. To make them, heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and toast the nuts until they become fragrant. Stir together all other ingredients, and heat them in a skillet over a medium heat. When the mixture bubbles, pour in the almonds, and coat evenly.
