For an easy spaghetti casserole, organize 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, 1 jar tomato sauce, 2 eggs, 1 box of spaghetti and 1/3 cup milk. Gather 1/2 cup Parmesan, 1/2 cup onion, 1/2 cup hot water, 2 teaspoons garlic and 1 cup shredded cheese. Cook finished casserole at 350 degrees.
Brown the ground beef in an oiled skillet, with pasta cooking beside it in a large pot of boiling, salted water. Cook pasta to al dente, as it continues cooking afterward. Drain excess fat from finished beef, then add tomato sauce and water. Add the garlic and chopped onion. You may also include chopped bell pepper and mushrooms, if desired. Simmer contents of skillet for approximately 10 minutes.
Strain pasta in a colander and replace empty pasta pot on the stove. Melt 1/2 cup margarine inside before adding the Parmesan. Replace drained pasta into pot, then whisk the eggs and milk together and combine with the pasta mixture. Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly. Spread the tomato and beef mixture on top, making sure to cover the pasta entirely, then bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the casserole (mozzarella or cheddar are best) and return it to the oven for an additional 15 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes, cut into squares and serve.
