Sargento's meatless spaghetti pie recipe uses precooked or leftover spaghetti for the crust. The spaghetti pie recipe from Betty Crocker uses browned ground beef and freshly cooked pasta.
To make Sargento's spaghetti pie, toss 6 ounces of cooked spaghetti with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix in 2 large, well-beaten eggs and 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese. Pour the spaghetti mixture into a greased 10-inch pie plate, and press it to form a crust. Spoon 1 cup of Ricotta cheese over the crust, and top it with 1 cup of pasta sauce. Bake the pie in a 325 degree Fahrenheit oven for 25 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese evenly over the top, and bake for 5 minutes longer. Remove the pie from the oven, sprinkle it with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
