To make easy homemade apple juice, peel and core 3 red apples. Remove the seeds from the cores, and boil the peels and cores in 5 cups of water for 30 minutes. Strain the solids from the juice, and mix in 1/4 cup of white sugar. Mix the juice thoroughly, and allow it to cool before refrigerating. Serve the juice chilled.Continue Reading
Alternatively, simply use a juicer to extract the juice directly from apples. Slice up a few apples to fit into the opening of the juicer. Follow the juicer's operating instructions to fill a cup with apple juice. Discard the resulting pulp. Refrigerate the juice and serve it chilled.
If desired, extra flavor may be infused by adding spices to the juice. In a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together 2 cups of the apple juice, 3 tablespoons of caramel syrup, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Allow the mixture to get hot but not to the point of boiling. After three minutes, add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, stir, and heat for 1 minute. Carefully pour the drinks into mugs. The drinks may either be served immediately or chilled. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon for added flavor and presentation.Learn more about Juice
