An easy grape salad recipe consists of one pound each of seedless green and red grapes, an eight ounce package of softened cream cheese, a seven ounce jar of marshmallow cream and a six ounce package of slivered almonds.
This grape salad recipe serves about eight people and takes an hour and 15 minutes to prepare. To make the recipe, first wash all of the grapes under running water and remove all the stems. Place the grapes aside in a large bowl.
In another large bowl, add the cream cheese and marshmallow cream and mix until well-combined and creamy. Pour this mixture into the bowl of grapes. With a large spatula, gently combine this mixture in with the grapes until they are evenly covered. Once the grapes are coated, mix in the slivered almonds. For an extra layer of flavor, toast the almonds before adding them to the recipe.
This salad can be eaten now or chilled in the refrigerator for an hour to allow the flavors to mix together. For a slightly different flavor, substitute one cup of sour cream, 1/2 cup of sugar and one teaspoon of vanilla extract for the marshmallow cream. The salad can also be topped with brown sugar. For a different texture, top with chopped pecans in place of mixing in the almonds.
