Full Answer

To make corn casserole, pour 1 can of whole kernel corn and one can of creamed corn into a large bowl. Stir in one 8 ounce package of corn muffin mix, 1 cup of sour cream and 1/2 stick of melted butter. Mix these ingredients well and pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Bake in an oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove the dish from the oven and top with 1 to 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

Place the dish back into the oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. This recipe has positive reviews on FoodNetwork.com and many people said they would make it again. One person suggested adding spinach to the dish and another said that whisking in one egg creates a fluffier result. For a spicier version, add a can of drained hot green chiles and some chopped fresh cilantro.
