Make easy chocolate pretzels by melting chocolate chips in the microwave, then dipping pretzels into the melted chocolate. Use tongs to dip the pretzels into the chocolate, which is very hot. Set the chocolate-coated pretzels on waxed paper to cool and harden.
Melt one cup or less of chocolate chips in the microwave set to high, pausing the microwave and stirring the chocolate after 30 seconds. Use a microwave-safe cup such as a glass measuring cup. If the chocolate is not soft enough to melt completely as you stir it, microwave it again, checking and stirring after 15 more seconds.
Remove the container of melted chocolate from the microwave, then drop one bite-sized pretzel at a time into the chocolate. Remove the pretzel with a fork, tapping the fork on the side of the container to release excess chocolate. If using pretzel rods, dip one end in and twirl the pretzel when pulling it out of the chocolate. Place the dipped pretzels on a cookie sheet coated with wax paper until the chocolate hardens.
Add sprinkles or a drizzle of another type of chocolate, if desired, as the chocolate begins to cool. Drizzle the second chocolate by melting it in the microwave, dipping a fork in it then wiggling the fork above the pretzels on the wax paper.
