An easy recipe for lemon icing requires stirring 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of milk and 2 teaspoons of grated lemon zest in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth. An optional drop of food coloring can add visual appeal.
The total time to make the lemon icing is five minutes, and it makes about 1/2 of a cup. Put the icing on cookies, sweet, breads, cakes, pastries and more.
