To make chocolate-covered cherry Jell-O shots, soak the desired amount of Maraschino cherries in four ounces of white rum for at least 24 hours. Place one cherry in the bottom of each Jell-O shot cup. Mix one 3-ounce package of cherry Jell-O with one cup of boiling water. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then add 3 ounces of creme de cacao liqueur, 1 ounce of vodka and 1/2 cup of white rum reserved from soaking the cherries.
Pour the Jell-O mixture over the cherries, then refrigerate until set. Cover each shot with a layer of chocolate Magic Shell topping, and freeze for two minutes. Top each shot with whipped cream immediately before serving.
For lemon drop martini Jell-O shots, combine 1 3-ounce package of lemon Jell-O with 1 cup of boiling water. Add 1/2 cup each of lemon vodka and limoncello or triple sec liqueur. Divide the mixture evenly among 15 shot cups, then refrigerate for three to four hours or until set. Rim each shot cup with sugar before pouring in the Jell-O, if desired.
