An easy homemade hamburger recipe calls for 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 pound of ground beef and 1/2 cup of fine dry bread crumbs. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat, and brush the grill grates with a small amount of oil.
Combine the egg, salt and black pepper in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add the ground beef and the bread crumbs to the bowl, and mix the ingredients together until they are completely incorporated. Form four hamburger patties out of the ground beef mixture. The patties should be about 3/4-inch thick. Place the patties on the grill grate, cover the grill and cook the burgers for 6 to 8 minutes on each side.
Another easy homemade hamburger recipe requires 2 pounds of ground beef, 1 package of dry onion soup mix, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of ketchup, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 6 hamburger buns and 6 slices of Swiss cheese. Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl in the same way as the previous recipe. Form the patties from the meat mixture, and cook them for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, using medium-high heat. Melt a slice of Swiss cheese onto each hamburger patty during the last minute of grill time. The recipe makes six hamburgers.
