To make Food Network's recipe, combine 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef, 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 2 teaspoons dry mustard, 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce, 1 cube crumbled beef bouillon, salt and pepper. Form into four to six oval patties. Fry the patties in a skillet with 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon oil.

Remove the patties, and reduce the heat to medium. Add 1 whole sliced onion, and cook. Add 2 cups beef broth, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 teaspoon seasoning sauce and 4 dashes Worcestershire. Stir, and cook to reduce. Return the patties to the gravy, and let simmer for a few minutes.

To make Pillsbury's recipe, mix 1 pound ground beef round, 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs, 1 egg, 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Shape into four 4-inch patties. In a bowl, stir 1 1.2-ounce package gravy mix with 1 1/2 cup water, and set aside.

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, and add patties. Cook for four minutes, turning once. Remove patties, and add 3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms and 1 thinly sliced sweet onion. Stir in gravy, and return patties to the skillet. Cover, and simmer for eight to 10 minutes.
