An easy glazed strawberry pie recipe is Strawberry Glaze Pie that calls for strawberries, sugar, cornstarch and water. Another easy recipe uses strawberry-flavored gelatin and cornstarch to make the glaze.
To make Strawberry Glaze Pie, bake a ready-made pie crust at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 18 minutes. While the crust cools, puree 1 cup of strawberries in a food processor, and pour the puree into a saucepan with 1 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a boil, and reduce the temperature to a simmer for two minutes before straining the puree through a fine mesh sieve. Return the strained puree to the saucepan along with 3/4 cup of granulated sugar mixed with 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. Heat the mixture at medium until the glaze thickens.
Layer 1/4 cup of the glaze on the bottom of the pie shell, brushing it over the sides as well. Add 2 1/2 cups of whole strawberries on top of the glaze. Drizzle 1/2 of the remaining glaze over the strawberries, and top the pie with the rest of the strawberries and glaze. Chill the pie for three to four hours before serving it with whipped cream.
Another option is to combine 2/3 cup of white sugar, 1 cup of water, 4 tablespoons of strawberry gelatin and 4 tablespoons of cornstarch in a saucepan, and boil the mixture for one minute before tossing it with the strawberries and spooning it into a graham-cracker crust.
