Pillsbury provides an easy fruit pizza recipe using pre-made refrigerated sugar cookie dough, cream cheese, a variety of fruit, and jelly. The fruit pizza takes about 20 minutes to prepare and serves around 12 people.
To make Pillsbury's easy fruit pizza, break up a roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough, and press into a greased 12-inch pizza pan. Bake the dough for 16 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, until the crust appears golden brown. Cool the cookie dough crust for at least 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, beat together 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie dough crust. Arrange 2 peeled and sliced kiwi, 1 cup halved strawberries, and 1 cup blueberries on top of the cream cheese spread. Use a brush or a spoon to place 1/2 cup apple jelly over the fruit. Refrigerate the fruit pizza for at least an hour before serving.
To create a different version of the easy fruit pie, use fresh or canned peach slices cut into thin slices instead of the kiwi slices, or add a sliced banana to the variety of fruit used in the fruit pie recipe. Also, for a citrus flavor, substitute a 1/2 cup of orange marmalade mixed with 2 tablespoons water for the apple jelly.
