Grilled figs with yogurt sauce, fresh figs with goat cheese and fresh fig ice cream are three easy fresh fig recipes. Fresh figs with goat cheese is the easiest dish to make as it requires no cooking and can be made in five minutes.
To make grilled figs with yogurt sauce, toss 16 fresh fig halves with 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of chopped rosemary, and sprinkle onto cut sides of the figs. Grill the figs on medium-low heat, cut-sides up, for six to eight minutes. Combine 1 cup of Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of orange zest, and serve with figs.
To make fresh figs with goat cheese, whisk 11 ounces of goat cheese, 1/2 cup of heavy cream, 2 teaspoons of fresh rosemary, 1 tablespoon of honey, and salt and pepper to taste. Halve 1 pound of fresh figs and arrange them around the cheese for dipping.
To make fresh fig ice cream, slice 15 figs in half, and scoop out the insides. Mix the fig pulp with 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of vanilla paste, 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of whole milk. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker, and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. Transfer to a container, and freeze for two to three hours before serving.
