Three recipes that are easy to follow and include blackberries are blackberry pie, blackberry cobbler and a blackberry smoothie. Each of these recipes uses less than 10 ingredients.
For blackberry pie, pour 4 cups of blackberries into a 9-inch ready-to-bake pie shell. Combine 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of flour and a dash of salt. Sprinkle over blackberries. Mix 1/2 cup of flour, 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of melted margarine until they are crumbly. Spread the crumbles on top of the berries. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 to 60 minutes.
For blackberry cobbler, first spray an 8-inch by 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Toss 1 quart of blackberries with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of flour and 1/2 cup of honey. Place the berries in the dish. Combine 1 cup of Bisquick mix, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 cup of milk or water. Pour the mixture over the berries. Top with 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar. Bake at 350 F for 25 to 30 minutes.
For a blackberry smoothie, place 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of blackberries, 3 tablespoons of sugar and five to eight ice cubes in a blender. Blend these ingredients for two minutes.
