One easy dog biscuit recipe comes from dog trainer Cesar Milan's website, and can be customized based on items the dog seems to enjoy. It involves combining seasoning, flour and protein sources in hot water to make a dough. The dough is then cut with a cookie cutter into treats.

Bacon or chicken broth, eggs, oats, liver powder, wheat germ, shredded cheese and bacon bits are all optional add-ins. Whole wheat flour can be replaced with regular flour or oats, and beef bouillon can be substituted with beef stock or broth, or chicken broth/stock.
