An easy crab cream cheese recipe is a dip that calls for Worcestershire sauce, Creole mustard, hot sauce and horseradish along with crab meat and cream cheese. Another recipe, used in wontons, calls for cream cheese, crab meat, green onions and wonton wrappers.
Make crab and cream cheese dip by blending 1/2 pound of crab meat, 3 ounces of cream cheese and 2/3 bunch of green onions in a food processor. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and add 1 teaspoon hot sauce, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish and 2 tablespoons Creole mustard. Once it's thoroughly pureed, slowly add 5 more ounces of cream cheese. Fold in another 1/2 pound of crab meat and the remaining 1/3 bunch of thinly sliced green onions, and serve with crackers or toast.
Another recipe calls for 1 8-ounce package of softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons milk, 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Season the mixture with cayenne pepper or hot sauce to taste. Blend everything together, then fold in 1 can of drained crab meat. Chill before serving with vegetables or chips.
To make crab wontons, combine 2 ounces of softened cream cheese with 2 tablespoons of canned crab meat and 2 teaspoons chopped green onion. Spoon the mixture into 6 wonton wrappers, seal closed by moistening the edges with water, and fry in oil.
