Classic Bisquick peach cobbler is an easy recipe using the baking mix. Heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine 1 cup Original Bisquick with 1 cup milk and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg in a square, ungreased baking dish that is 8 by 8 inches.
Add 1/2 cup of melted margarine or butter. Combine 1 cup sugar with 1 29-ounce can of sliced, drained peaches. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter. Bake the cobbler for about 50 to 60 minutes, until it becomes golden.
For a quick cobbler that uses just four ingredients, preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Combine 1 cup Bisquick with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 cup milk. Pour the batter into an ungreased pan that is 9 square inches. Spread the pie filling on top of the batter, and bake for 45 minutes or until the cobbler becomes golden brown. For serving, add whipped topping.
In another variation, 3/4 cup of water added to 3 cups of sweetened fruit can substitute for the canned fruit. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and heat 29 ounces of undrained, canned fruit in a saucepan. Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water, add to the fruit and boil for one minute. Mix 2 cups Bisquick, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup melted butter and 2 tablespoons sugar. Drop the batter with a spoon over the fruit in a 2-quart baking dish. Bake for about 20 minutes.
