- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 16-ounce cans red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 14 1/2-ounce cans diced tomatoes
- 2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Cook ingredients in skillet
- Put in slow cooker
Combine ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until the beef is browned, then drain the beef.
Pour the ingredients into the slow cooker, and stir in the beans, tomatoes, chili powder and other spices. Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours, or low for 5 to 6 hours.
