An easy cheesy bread recipe requires cheddar, pepper jack and Parmesan cheeses. Mix the cheeses with mayonnaise, butter, green onions and other seasonings. Spread over buttered French bread. Preparation time is 15 minutes, and cook time is 10 minutes. The recipe yields four servings.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl, combine 3 1/2 cups of grated cheddar cheese, 3/4 cup of grated pepper jack cheese and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Add 1/2 cup of real mayonnaise, 1/4 stick of softened butter and four whole green onions completely minced. Season with a dash of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Set the bowl aside, or refrigerate it.
Melt a stick of butter in a skillet over a medium-low heat. Finely mince four garlic cloves, and place them in the skillet. Cook for several minutes to infuse the butter with the garlic flavor.
Take one loaf of crusty French bread, and slice it in half. Evenly coat each half of the bread with the garlic butter. Transfer the cheese mixture to the coated bread, and bake it in the oven for approximately 10 minutes or until the cheese bubbles. Remove the bread from the oven, and dust it with 1/2 cup of chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley. Slice the bread and serve it.
