- 3 pounds 80-percent lean ground chuck
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 8 hamburger buns, split
- Cheese, condiments and other toppings (optional)
- Mix the ground chuck and seasoning
- Cook the patties
In a large bowl, mix the ground chuck, salt and pepper until combined. Blend the mixture further using a fork. Divide the ground chuck equally into 8 portions and using moistened hands, pack each portion into 3/4 inch burger patties.
Cook the burgers by grilling or broiling over medium-high heat. Cook one side for 5 minutes and the other side for 4 minutes for medium-rare burgers. Serve with warmed or toasted hamburger buns, preferred toppings and condiments.
