An easy brownie recipe is Allrecipe's Quick and Easy Brownies, which calls for cocoa powder, sugar, flour, butter and eggs. Rachael Ray also provides an easy brownie recipe that only uses six ingredients.
To make Quick and Easy Brownies, mix together 2 cups of white sugar and 1 cup of melted butter. Beat in 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and four eggs. Add 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon each of baking powder and salt. Fold 1/2 cup of walnut halves into the mixture, and pour the batter into a greased baking pan. Bake the brownies at 350 F for 20 to 30 minutes.
To make Rachael Ray's Best Basic Brownies, stir together 2 cups of sugar, 1 1/2 sticks of melted unsalted butter and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Add three eggs. Fold in 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and 1 cup of flour, and spoon the batter into a greased baking pan. Bake the brownies for 30 minutes at 350 F.
To use chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder, melt 1 cup of chocolate along with the butter in a saucepan, and add in the rest of the ingredients. Fold chopped nuts and more chocolate chips into the batter before baking the brownies.
